Antigua and Barbuda has been awarded hosting privileges for this year’s ICC Women’s World Cup semi-finals and Final matches. Both the November 22 semi-finals and the November 24 Final will be held at Antigua’ Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

The 2018 ICC Women’s World Cup will be the very first time the championship is being staged on its own as a stand alone Tournament. Previous tournaments were held in conjunction with the Men’s T20 World Cup.

The ten-team tournament will feature Preliminary matches in two Groups with the top two teams from each Group advancing to the semi-finals. Defending champions the Windies are in Group A along with England, South Africa, Sri Lanka and a Netherlands event Qualifier, while Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Qualifier 2 will be in Group B.

In anticipation of significant Canadian visitor interest, particularly from within Canada’s burgeoning South Asian and Caribbean communities, Antigua Tourism will be pulling together attractive airfare and accommodation group rates for those wishing to experience live all the excitement that the Antigua hosted matches will provide. Further information on the available group rates will soon be available via the Antigua Tourism’s website: www.visitantiguabarbuda.com
