The latest version of Triple Play, one of the Guyanese Canadian community’s longest existing live bands, was unveiled earlier this year at the May 19th 2018 Guyana Christian Charities Spring Dance. Led by veteran Band Leader Raymond (Chinny) Lee Own on guitar and vocals, Triple Play Version New is also comprised of Drummer Andy Foster, Keyboardist Linweal Ollivierre, Skel Redhead on saxophone, Jan Morgan on trumpet and Lance Charlemagne as the lead vocalist.

As one of Toronto’s most dynamic and versatile music bands the new, very much improved, “sounding better that ever,” Triple Play covers all genres, from Soca, Reggae, Latin, Old School R&B to Classical Rock and Contemporary Jazz.

Under Lee Own’s leadership and management, Triple Play will again this year be hosting its annual New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner and Dance. This year’s Gala will be held on Monday December 31 at the J&J Bur Oak Banquet Hall, 50 Anderson Avenue, off Markham Rd (Hwy 48) and Bur Oak.

The All Inclusive, Open Bar Gala Evening’s entertainment, which includes a three course, chicken and salmon dinner, a midnight champagne toast and party favors, will get under way with cocktails at 7:00 pm. The Sit-Down Dinner will be served promptly at 7:00 pm.

Tickets for the evening which will also feature the ever popular tracks of DJ Bakes are $95.00 per person.
